Grown theories and gathered evidence about characters by:
    • Paying attention to the character’s actions that reveal what type of person they are and to revise or confirm their thinking about characters

 Science
Our first unit in science focuses on the continual processes that shape the Earth.  Students will dive right into investigating the material that make up the Earth's surface through observations and recordings.  The goal of this unit is for our students to become familiar with the properties, size and composition of the Earth and will begin to consider the idea of parent material which we lead us into weathering and erosion.
Word Work

This year, we are using Words their Way by Pearson.  Students are split into word work groups to work on spelling concepts.  Students are doing both online “sorts” and paper sorts to recognize spelling rules in other words.
